                                       What is the difference between the
                               Western and Indian system of Medicine?

Western medicine tends to generalise and categorise individuality as the "norm", whereas Ayurveda believes that normality must be evaluated individually. Western medicine works on the basis of one symptom, one disease, one drug. Ayurveda's approach is to look at correcting our system imbalances and tuning our organs in line with environmental influences.

It must be emphasised that Ayurveda is not a substitute for western allopathic medicine as there are many instances when disease processes and acute conditions can best be treated with drugs or surgery.
